Custom Portrait

Pet portraiture can be a very time consuming endeavor. Each of my designs is "one-of-a kind" and requires heavy involvement both physically and emotionally. Most subjects are selected either from a situations in which I was made aware, or are animal which have been abuse or rescued. I prefer to paint those animals who have not been part of careless breeding mills, or have been part of programs from novice breeders who continue to derogate the purebreds bloodlines by ignorance breeding, thus adding to the reason that 30% of the animals now in shelters are purebred. Of course, there are always exceptions to the rules, and I have friends and family who have purchased dogs from breeds with or without regrets. This does not mean that I am opposed to painting these wonderful little beings. When you love an animal, some times it's origin doesn't matter. But as responsible individuals, we can make conscious choices NOT to support continued breeding for the sake of having what I call a "breed-chic". Please educate me of your situation and together we can determine how to best proceed with your request!

For all custom order, I require a phone consultation, to ensure:

~clear communications so expectations of the client are met

~discussion on the logistics of the portrait (i.e. time frames, size, medium, framing)

~agreement on the use of the design for other projects

~consensus on the fund or rescue organization which will receive a portion of the proceeds from your request

~complete satisfaction with the portrait prior to shipping

~payment requirements

We will make every effort to outline all the details after our conversation to ensure your comfort prior to the creation of your custom art via e-mail. Once the creative process begins, I will concentrate on the painting until completed. A design (if being created for Animal Ware) will be forwarded via JPG for your approval, along with content/copy and a message if requested. Your logo can be added to any design if requested prior to production run.

Fortunately, all of my art has met or exceeded the expectations of clients (see testimonials section for more details) , but for any reason that you are not satisfied, you are not obligated to purchase the design. However, if approval is given, and production of product has been completed, based on statement of work, it is the clients responsibility to accept the terms and the product.

Because the creative process is a major commitment, I will accept orders with 1/2 payment to ensure the sincerity of the request. Should you not agree with the design and the portrait upon completion, you will receive a refund.
